The Children's Christmas Pageant is performed on Christmas Eve before the 4pm mass. All youth from the parish, in grades K-8, are welcome to participate. Actors and singers share a Christmas story with the community. Rehearsals take place in November and December.

The Ascension Men's Ministry usually meets every 6-8
weeks.
There is a different speaker each time we meet and a delicious breakfast is included.

and movements. It seems timely therefore to form ecclesial communities
and groups of a size that allows for true human relationships."

As stated in the by-laws, our purpose is to promote true Christian family life, foster love for the home of God, and to labor for its proper adornment and cleanliness. We take care of the immediate needs of the alter and sacristy. We promote daily Mass attendance and devotion to the Blessed Mother. The 4:00 pm Mass on the first Saturday of each month is offered for the living and deceased members. Membership is open to all women, regardless of boundary or religious affiliation. We meet on the third Tuesday of each month from September through June. A religious service or short prayer proceeds the meeting and there is an informative program and refreshments. The "Atarose " is our official monthly publication and will be mailed to shut-ins on request or may be found in the narthex of the church. We hold several special events and fundraisers (for the school children’s benefit) during the year. These include a Winter boutique and Card Party.
The Ascension Youth Group is open to all high-school age youth. It provides an opportunity for the young people to strengthen their faith through community building and outreach. The group participates in service activities as well as parish and neighborhood events and retreats. The Ascension Youth Group is a great chance for our teenagers to retain a connection to the parish during their high school years.
